Patrons’ Circle

For many years, Compagnie l’Homme debout has been developing a singular artistic and cultural project: telling sensitive, human stories inspired by the world around us, through giant puppets moving in public spaces. Our creations reach wide audiences and contribute to the vitality and attractiveness of territories — in cities and in rural areas alike.

We have long been supported by public authorities (the French State, the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Département de la Vienne, Grand Poitiers and the City of Poitiers, as well as all the local authorities who host us). They stand beside us in funding our daily work — from the creation of our performances to our long-term territorial projects.

We are also deeply convinced that you — individuals and companies — can help us continue to grow our project. And that we can learn from one another, grounded in shared values: the defense of human rights in a relationship of interdependence with our natural environments, and the understanding of public space as a place for democratic expression.

Whether you are close to us in Poitiers, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region where we are highly active, or in the many territories that invite us — in France and abroad.

Although strictly regulated by tax authorities, the driving force and ultimate purpose of patronage remains generosity. We have therefore developed an ethical charter, along with a fiscal framework outlining the rules relating to tax reductions and benefits, adapted to the different levels of support offered.

Your contributions will be essential in strengthening the sustainability of our project. Through the three existing forms of patronage — financial contributions, in-kind support, or skills-based sponsorship — everyone can take part, according to their means, in developing an artistic and cultural tool that fosters a society that is more vibrant, more conscious, and more open.
